general contribution
A general contribution allows the YMCA to direct your gift where it can have the greatest impact. These unrestricted funds provide flexibility to respond to emerging community needs, sustain essential programs, and strengthen the overall mission of the YMCA.
memorial giving
Honor the life and legacy of someone special by making a gift in their memory. Memorial gifts are a meaningful way to celebrate a loved one while supporting the YMCA’s mission. These contributions are not restricted or long-term endowment gifts; instead, they are used to meet current needs and provide immediate impact in our community. Through your generosity, you create a living tribute that helps others grow, thrive, and belong.
honoring the legacy of tom jackson
The YMCA is stronger because of the generous gifts of time, talent, and resources from those
who believe in our mission. One of the most meaningful ways we show our gratitude is by caring for and investing in the places and programs those gifts have made possible.
At Camp Bishop, we are building a small program and storage space near the Dining Hall to
better support the experiences that matter most to our campers. This project honors the legacy of Tom Jackson, whose dedication helped shape the camp we know today.
Tom gave countless hours to Camp Bishop, leading improvements, rebuilding cabins, renovating the lodge and deck and leading the construction of the Caretaker’s House. He believed deeply in strengthening the camp for future generations and found joy in working alongside others to do it.
After his passing in 2024, his family and community gave in his memory to carry that legacy
forward. This new space reflects Tom’s enduring spirit of service, generosity, and love for Camp Bishop.
honoring the legacy of bob ruecker
The YMCA is sustained by individuals and families who understand that strong communities require ongoing care, investment, and shared responsibility. Through their generosity, we are able to continue growing programs, maintaining safe spaces, and ensuring that all who walk through our doors have the opportunity to belong, learn, and thrive.
In honor of Bob, whose life reflected a deep appreciation for the impact of the YMCA, a gift has been established to support programming across our association. These contributions help provide essential resources; from health and wellness equipment to aquatics safety supplies and program supplies, to Camp Bishop program supplies, youth sports equipment and more. All ensuring that our programs remain accessible, high-quality, and impactful for generations to come.
Bob understood that sustaining the YMCA requires both participation and stewardship. Through this legacy of giving, their commitment to supporting the organization as a whole will continue to strengthen programs and expand opportunities for all we serve.
Grays Harbor YMCA Endowment Management Association
The Grays Harbor YMCA Endowment Management Association is a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the long-term financial sustainability of the YMCA. Gifts to the Endowment are restricted funds that are carefully invested and managed by an independent Board of Trustees.
These funds are not used for immediate operations; instead, they generate ongoing support for the YMCA’s mission over time. Giving to the Endowment is a powerful way to create permanent impact, ensuring that future generations will continue to benefit from YMCA programs and services.
legacy giving
Leave a lasting legacy that will impact generations to come. Through planned giving—such as bequests, trusts, or other estate gifts—you can ensure the YMCA continues to serve our community well into the future. Legacy gifts reflect your long-term commitment to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
